The
Fifth Annual Fresher's Party of M K Ponda College of
Business & Management was organised at the college
premises on 29/12/2011, Thursday. The freshers were
welcomed with the traditional Tilak and Dhol..
The function started with
ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Honourable
Chairman of the Red Rose Group Mr. Sumeet Ponda and
Director of the College Dr. O.P. Sarathe. Dr. O P
Sarathe delivered his guidance and blessing to all
faculty members and students present there welcomed the
freshers. Chairman Mr Sumeet Ponda motivated the
students to bring out their latest potential and to
become and honest the nation.
The function saw a huge
participation of the students in various cultural
events, including dance performances, singing, etc. Few
games like tie the cloth, tongue twister song
identification etc. were also played. The highlight of
the event was the solo dance performance of Deepak
Solanki (BCA, III Sem). The students were further
awarded with various titles like Mr. Fresher. Karnajet
Singh, Miss Fresher Payal Kushwaha, Miss Eve Pallavi
Gour and Mr Eve Sharib Ahmed.

"4th Raising Day
Celebration",30th Aug. 2011. |

The
fourth raising day celebration of M K Ponda College of
Business & Management, Bhopal started with the lighting
of
lamp and Saraswati Vandna. Dr. S.K.Singh Vice Chancellor
M P Bhoj Open University was here as the presiding guest
and Mr. S.P.Pandey Chief General Manager Escorts company
was as the chief guest of the occasion. Mr S.K.Pandey,
Dr S.K.Singh, Chairman of the college Mr. Sumeet Ponda
and Director of the college Dr. O.P.Sarathe lighted the
lamp.
Every body was enchanted by the welcome dance performed
by the students of college. Dr. O.P.Sarathe director of
the college in his welcome speech focused on the
achievementsw ans polices of college. Dr. S.K.Singh
Chief Guest while addressing the students urge the
students to avoid mal practices and adopt the good ones.
Chief G.M. Escorts Mr. S.P.Pandey decoded the codes of
transforming a small shop into a big corporate
associate. On the same had chairman of the college, Sir
Sumeet Ponda in his conventional style but innovative
way cited his view on "Jan Lokpal Bill" as well as said,
that the rules and law cannot make the society
corruption less but self honesty can do it. At last the
founder of Red Rose Group and Manjula Kapil Ponda
College of Business And Management Smt. Manjula Ponda
presented the memento to the Chief Guest & Presiding
Guest as a sign of respect and gratitude. The vote of
thanks was offered by Aafreen Khan to end the
celebration. |

Farewell
Party was organized for senior students by the students
of BBA, BCA, B.Com at M.K. Ponda College of Business &
Managements, Bhopal.
Programme started with lighting of the lamp by
Founder, Red Rose Group Mrs. Manjula Ponda, Chairman Mr.
Sumeet Ponda, Mrs. Sejal Ponda and Director of the
College Dr. O.P.Sarathe. After this, following the
tradition of the College, all the Senior students have
made the programme "grande" by lighting the candles and
also signed their own photographs to mark the occasion.
Juniors have presented dances and made the programme
colourful in the honour of seniors. Director of the
College Dr. O.P.Sarathe has expressed his views and
conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing students.
Chairman of the Group Mr. Sumeet Ponda also addressed to
the students community and in his message he asked the
students to become an enterpreneur instead of becoming
an employee. He also promised to outgoing students to
help them in getting economic & financial help from
various financial organisations.
Finally the programme was got over by presenting
Mementos to outgoing students & vote of thanks. |

The
Fourth Annual Sports & Cultural Meet 'Biz Mania' of M K
Ponda College of Business & Management was concluded
with great fervour on 6th May, 2011 at College campus.
On this occasion Prof. Nisha Dubey, Vice-Chancellor of
Barkatullah University, Bhopal was present as Chief
Guest. Founder of Red Rose Group, Mrs. Manjula K Ponda &
Chairman of Red Rose Group Mr. Sumeet Ponda were also
present as special guest on the ocassion.
Welcome speech given by Director of the
College Dr. O P Sarathe. The function was started with
lighting of lamp and Durga stuti presented by the
students. After this students have played a drama,
depicting the aim & purpose for which college was
established, which focuses on development of
entrepreneurship. The entire theme of the function was
based on rapid changes taking place in the World of
commerce and in this environment instead of rushing
behind jobs, better to start own business and create
employment to others.
On this occasion, students of the college who
have excelled academically during the present and
previous session were also honoured by the chief guest.
Prof. Nisha Dubey on her speech praised the
purpose & aim for which the college was established and
extended her best wishes to the students. Chairman of
the Group Mr. Sumeet Ponda also addressed the gathering
and felt satisfied with the efforts being made for
achieving the purpose and aim of establishment of
college.
Pankaj Peswani & Ms Sneha Thakur, students of
final year were also honoured with "Manager of the year
award". Pankaj Peswani student of final year presented
the vote of thanks. |

The
fresher party of MBA Ist Sem. students took place in M K
Ponda College of Management, Bhopal. The MBA Freshers
were welcomed with the traditional Tilak to their
forehead appied by Rakhi of MBA IIIrd Sem. The programme
commenced with the lighting of lamp.
Welcome speech was delivered by Akshay MBA
IIIrd Sem. After Akshay, Director Dr.O.P.Sarathe
delivered his guidance and blessing to all faculty
members and students present there in the form of a
speech, he also wished all of them Happy Holi. The
students participated in many games. The winners were:

College of Business & Management celebrated Republic Day
with great enthusiasm. Director Dr.O.P.Sarathe has done
Flag hosting and conducted oath ceremony from students
and faculty members of discipline committee for
maintaining discipline in college premises. Anant Shrivastav (BBA IIIrd Sem) presented patriotic song,
Khusboo Pawar (BCA IIIrd Sem) has delivered speech on
achievements of India and inspired young crowd to make
India correction free , Rita Verma and Kapil Yadav
performed dance ( we are Indians) A heart touching play
was done to show integrity of India. Jayant Bharadwaj (B
Com IIIrd Sem) song patriotic song and overwhelmed all
present there. Shariq Khan (MBA-Ist Sem) has given brief
information about formation of our Indian constitution
which was followed by group dance. Manthan, which made
whole event more interesting. Program came to end with
vote of thanks by Ms. Gazala Qurishi (BBA Vth Sem) and
sweets distribution. |

Visit to Top-N-Town, 22 Jan. 2011 |

Students
of M K Ponda College of Business & Management visited
production unit of Top-N-Town Govidnpura, Bhopal for
Industrial Visit. Mr. Neelesh Soni & Ms. Richa Jain were
present from faculty members of college. Students gained
information about production, packaging, transportation
and marketing strategy of Top-N-Town. Team from
Top-N-Town including General Manager Mr. Subhash Mistri,
Ms. Rachna, Mr. Rambabu & Mr. Gyanendra Lokhe shared
their experience with students. Students were curious about vision and mission of Top-N-Town and
market information is also given to them. |

Industrial
Visit to ITC e-Choupal 16 Dec 2010 |

The
Students to MBA; BBA & B.Com. from M K Ponda College of
Management and M K Ponda College of Business &
Management, visited ITC e-Choupal at Sehore on 16th
December, 2010. On this occasion Mr. Sumeet Ponda,
Chairman, Director Dr. O.P. Sarathe and Mr. M.N.
Shrinivasan, Dean of MKPC were also present. The
students visited ITC e-Choupal alongwith faculty. Mr.
Pawan Thakur (Head Incharge e-Choupal, Sehore) and Mr.
Afsar Khan (Incharge Retail outlet, Sehore), interacted
with students and explained its Marketing strategy and
how they help farmers to sell their crops on favorable
rates to ITC, ITC educate farmers in production of
crops. Students noted that no sooner, farmers sell their
crops they get its amount. Students also visited retail
section of ITC at Sehore. |

FETE-Learning Business Skills & Management (20 Nov. 2010) |

The
Red Rose Group organized a fete on 20th Nov on the
premises of M K Ponda College of Management with Founder
Mrs Manjula K. Ponda, Chairman Mr Sumeet Ponda and
Director Mrs. Sejal Ponda being the special guests to
grace the occasion. The students were enterprising in
their venture to make profit via their respective stalls
and learnt valuable skills on business management. The
event was a colourful and Joyful blend of display of
Indian culture and traditions represented by students
dressed in traditional attires and with a variety of
stalls of Indian cuisines and games. The stalls were put
up by the students of the various branches of Red Rose
group of Schools and of M K Ponda college of Management.
Mr Pankaj Peswani and Ms Priyanka Sisodia of BBA-V
Semester were judged the best dressed Male and female
in traditional costume and Mr Parshav Mota of 12th
Standard of Berasia Branch got the consolation prize.
The Best stalls were also judged with Gujarati Paan (Parshav
& Group) of Berasia Branch; Chat & Fast Food ( Abishek
Chauhan & Group) of Trilanga Branch and LAN Games(
Anshul Sahu & Group) of BCA- III Semester of MKPC
bagging 1st , 2nd and 3rd Position. The winners were
felicitated by Mrs Manjula K Ponda with a prize
distribution ceremony. FM-Radio Jockey further chilled
the boisterous atmosphere which made it a wonderful
experience for the students. |

Navratri
Celebration (12 Oct. 2010) |

On
the auspicious occasion of Navratri 2010 the management,
teachers and students of M.K.Ponda college of Business &
Management celebrated this holy day with a lot of
devotion and worship.
The Function began with the welcome of Founder of Red
Rose Group Mrs. Manjula Ponda, Chairman Mr. Sumeet
Ponda and Mrs. Sejal Ponda by applying Tilak &
presenting them all with a shawl and Shriphal after
which everyone reverently sang the Arti. This was
followed by the lighting of lamp and a Garba performed
by students. The faculties also join in the joyous
celebrations.
Mr. Sumeet Ponda awarded prizes to the best dancer male
& female and the best-dressed participants. The function
concluded with an address by Mr. Sumeet Ponda who
emphasized the need to maintain secularism, national
trends and culture of the nation. |

Teacher's
day was celebrated in M K Ponda College of Business &
Management with grand gala. The celebration was started
with lighting of lamp by the Group founder Smt. Manjula
K Ponda and the Chairman Mr. Sumeet Ponda.
On this occasion, Mr. Sumeet Ponda had addressed the
teachers and conveyed his best wishes, and also asked
them to teach moral values to students. Mrs. Manjula K
Ponda blessed the gathering.
Then the
students have presented colourful dances and entertained
the teachers. The programme was wrapped with the vote of
thanks given by college dean. |

Donation Camp (10 August 2010) |

A
Blood Donation Camp was organized by M K Ponda College
of Business and Management on 10th August, 2010 on its
premises along with the Red Cross Society. The entire
Red Rose Group Family contributed to this social cause
with the donors coming forward in numbers from all the
branches of the Group. The founder of the Group Mrs.
Manjula K Ponda marked her presence to encourage the
donors, as well as the Chairman of the Group Mr. Sumeet
Ponda actively contributed to this social mite. The
event was successfully conducted with a participation of
34 donors.

K Ponda College of Business and Management celebrated
its 3rd Raising Day – 2010. The Founder Mrs. Manjula
Ponda and eminent guests, Mr. M K Dubey, ED, BHEL,
Bhopal, Mr. Anil Bhide, State Bank of Indore, Mr. Sumeet
Ponda, Chairman, Red Rose Group lit the customary lamp
to evoke the blessings of goddess Saraswati. The
students sang the recitation of Shloka. They welcomed
the guest with a classical welcome dance.
The Founder of the College Mrs. Manjula Ponda
felicitated the BBA University Toppers from the College,
namely Tanushree Arora, BBA V Sem, Sandhya Singh BBA V
Sem, Pankaj Peshwani, BBA II.
The function continued with the interactive session by
the Cheif guest Mr. M K Dubey he gave the "Mantras"
success in the corporate world. The Chairman Mr. Sumeet
Ponda, Red Rose Group of Schools & Colleges spoke at
length on the youthful approach to Business Management
today.

M K Ponda College of Business and Management bade a
touching farewell “Adios” to the outgoing batch at a
function held in its campus on May 25th, 2010. The
function began with the lighting of the lamp by Founder
of Red Rose Group Mrs. Manjula Ponda.
Junior students expressed their love and
respect for their seniors by presenting songs, dances
and entertaining games. Director of the College Dr.
A.P.Singh along with Chairman Mr. Sumeet Ponda, Mrs.
Sejal Ponda and Mr. V.K.Kapoor (Ex-Director) gave away
various awards to students. Ms. Sandhya Singh was
awarded the title of 'Miss. Eve' while Mr. Nitesh Pawar
was adjudged ‘Mr. Eve’. Ms. Tanushri Arora bagged the
title of ‘Miss MKPC’ While Mr. Vishal Chouhan was
adjudged ‘Mr. MKPC’. The award for the 'Most Decent
Senior' was conferred upon Karan Thakur while the 'Book
Worm' award was won by Ms. Seema Thakur. The 'Best
Helping Senior' award was won by Ms. Pooja Peshwani
whereas the ‘Mr. Encylopedia’ award was bagged by
Ashutosh Yadav. Junior students wished their seniors a
bright future by applying the traditional ‘tilak’ to
their foreheads.
Senior boys and girls looked smart and elegant
in their best outfits. Gifts were presented to senior
students as a token their love and remembrance. The
programme ended with a fellowship meal and good wishes
for a bright future.
Chairman Mr. Sumeet Ponda emphasized the need for
developing the right attitude and skills required to
excel in the present scenario to eliminate the darkness
of ignorance.

Cultural Programme and Prize Distribution

K Ponda College of Business and Management celebrated
its IInd Annual Sports & Cultural programme titled "CHLOROS
AURA" on the occasion of Earth day, in the auditorium,
Sonnet, at Lambakheda, Bhopal on April 22nd, 2010. The
programm was based on the theme "Green Environment".
Taking into account the occasion, the invitees were
welcomed with plants.
The programme began with Saraswathi Vandana,
followed by lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Founder
of the Group Mrs. Manjula Ponda and Chairman Mr. Sumeet
Ponda.
On this grand occasion cultural programmes and
a debate on "Save Environment" were presented by winners
of the inter-house competitions. Finally the Chairman of
the Group presented the trophy to the overall champion
and gave away the prizes.

K Ponda College of Business & Management, managed by The
Red Rose Group of Schools & Colleges, Bhopal, a
formidable force in the sphere of education, organized
its second Annual Sports & Athletics Meet in the College
premises.
The 5-day Sports and Athletics Meet was
inaugurated by Founder Mrs. Manjula K Ponda, along with
Chairman Mr. Sumeet Ponda.
In the competition the participants were
divided into four Groups, with their unique B-School
names 1. Business Tycoon, 2 Corporate Magnates, 3 Market
Knight, 4 Fortune Hunters. The five day Annual Sports
and Athletics Meet consisted of the following events:
Tug of war Chess, Carrom, Basketball, Volleyball,
Cricket and Athletics. Students participated in good
numbers in these competitions and won prizes for their
Groups. Following were the winners of the competition:
Tug of War-Market Knights, Chess (Girls)-Sangeeta Sarkar,
Corporate Magnets, Chess (Boys)- Abhishek Sharma,
Corporate Magnets, Carrom (Girls)-Jagriti, Corporate

The Annual Sports & Athletics Meet 2009-10
ended with the prize distribution ceremony, and a brief
speech from the college Director Dr. A.P. Singh. He
declared the Sports Meet closed.

On
the Birth Anniversary of India's First Prime Minister
Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, "Bal Divas" programme was
organised in M K Ponda College of Business & Management,
Lambakheda in which various food and games stalls were
put up by the students.
In the programme, Founder of Red Rose Group
Mrs. Manjula Ponda and Chairman of the Group Shri Sumeet
Ponda with his wife were present as special guests. The
function was followed by the floral tribute paid to the
photograph of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehruji by the Founder
of the group Mrs. Manjula Ponda.
Children from Red Rose School, Berasia Road
Karond were also invited. They came in good number and
enjoyed the function, also played games and enjoyed a
variety of delicious eats. Students in traditional
attire participated in a fashion show. There were gifts
for the best decorated stalls as well. |

were selected as Mr. & Miss MKPC respectively Mr. Rishi
Gohiya & Miss Priyanka Shivhare were selected as Mr. Eve
& Miss. Eve. Mr. Sumeet Ponda showered his blessings and

Management began with its five days sports & cultural
meet, "Beyond Horizon 2009" with a formal opening
of the ceremony by the Chairman of the Red Rose Group
Mr. Sumeet Ponda on 27 April, 2009. The College basking
in the glory of its meritorious achievements would be
celebrating these five days event to celebrate the joy
of spreading its wings Beyond Horizon by providing a
platform to the students to show their diverse skill and
talents in true spirit and upholding the torch of
"lets touch the sky and float beyond it".
The day was marked by the
participation of the students in the following games
like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Chess, and Carom. |

Saturday 17, Jan 2009 at Parmalli Wallace, M.P. Nagar,
Bhopal.

of MBA-I Sem. along with the faculty members went there.

is a leading manufacturer of engineering product
specially made by combination of fiber & wood.
Mr. Pradhan, a certified auditor of the
company told us about the different product of the
company and where these products are used. Some of the

Seminar held in M.K. Ponda College on “Campus to Corporate" |
|
|
‘The Edge Makers’, trainers &consultants conducted a seminar on the subject ‘Campus to Corporate’ in M.K. Ponda College on 2nd May 2008. This was a presentation-cum-interactive session aimed at bridging the gap between campus and corporate. Mr. Anirudh Pandey, trainer from the Edge makers, conducted the programme. Mr.Dhiraj Saxena assisted him.
Mr.Pandey started the session by explaining the concept and relevance of interviews and went on to cover the different facets of the interview process. His lucid style of presentation was replete with practical a example which was highly appreciated by all. Students were also made to give their ideas on certain situations given by the faculty, which they did very willingly making the interactive session really fruitful. Enough opportunity was gives to the students to raise queries. The clarifications were given to them by simulating the situations. Animated discussions followed virtually every given situation as to what alternatives or best answers could be given by interviewee.
It is worth mentioning that ‘The Edge Makers’ had also conducted a session on ‘Attitude Building and Personal grooming’ in the recent past which was also well received and perceived to be helpful in practical life.
Initially a brief introduction about “The edge makers” and the faculty was given by institute director Mr. V.K.Kapoor. He also explained the relevance of the topic for individual and also interpersonal situations. The programme was attended by students and faculty members. Mr. Savneet Singh Gandhi proposed the vote of thanks. |

Visit to Bhopal Sahakari Dugdh Sangh |
|
Students of MBA, BBA and other undergraduate classes recently paid a visit to the plant of Bhopal Sahakari Dugdh Sangh at Habibganj, Bhopal. The objective of the visit was to acquaint them with the organizational mission, set up, field and plant operation, products and marketing etc.
On reaching the plant the students were divided in two group. There were separate counseling sessions taken by AGM (Marketing) of Dugdh Sangh. These sessions were very informative covering all facets of the operations-Procurement to distribution. The field operation activities start with organizing of cooperative societies in the rural areas and end up with milk transportation to dairy dock. The plant operations begin with the receipt of milk at the chilling centre or dairy dock and end with the dispatch of milk and its distribution. |

The students went round the plant and saw the process of testing of milk. pasteurization, chilling, packing and storage with interest. Explanation on process of distribution and marketing activities gave students an insight into time-bound and meticulously planned activities of the Sangh. Their queries meant to correlate theoretical learning with practical realties were effectively answered by the authorities concerned. |

Report On Industrial Visit to Sanchi Dugdh Sangh, Habibganj, Bhopal |

On 22nd April 08, an industrial visit was organized for all the students to ‘Sanchi Dugdh Sangh’. The main objective behind this visit was to equip the students with the specific knowledge about the plant location, its layout and process of production and distribution. The buses accommodating altogether 64 students (25 from PG & 39 from UG) along with four faculty members Started from the college at 10:30 am and reached the premises of the ‘Sanchi Dugdh Sangh’ at 11:15 am. There a counseling Session by Mr. Anurag Senger AGM (marketing) was conducted where the entire working & procedure of Production of Sanchi Dugdh Sangh was explained by him to the students and faculty members. Separate session was held for boys and girls with a query round in each. Students were taken around the plant to given an on ground exposure and knowledge on the working of the plant The visit went off well and generated keen interest, valuable insight and enthusiasm among the students. |

College Organises Workshop on Entrepreneurship |

For the management of Manjula K. Ponda College of Management, the cornerstone of teaching is the firm belief in giving opportunity for scholarly and analytical questioning by students. With this in view much emphasis is laid on skills based development methods like Presentations, Group work, Guest lectures by eminent speakers etc. This provides real time feel to the students. In the regularly on-going process, a Lecture-cum-Workshop on “Entrepreneurship” was organized through National Entrepreneurship Network. Mr. Ronald Fernandez, Senior Consultant, NEN conducted the session. Students Participated in the programme with overwhelming enthusiasm and came up with very innovative ideas during the exercises. Mr. Fernandez explained the concept of entrepreneurship and related issues in a very simple but effective manner, which was appreciated by the students. In the beginning, Mr. V.K.Kapoor, the director of the institute, introduced Mr. Fernandez and highlighted the importance of the subject to be discussed. A film was shown which highlighting the views of the leading entrepreneurs-Past and Present. It also brought out the qualities of a good entrepreneur. Mr. Fernandez also explained the concept of Serial Entrepreneurship. In the workshop the students were divided in five groups. The groups vied with each other in bringing forth new ideas and their interaction with the faculty was very lively. Mr. Fernandez appreciated the creativity displayed up by the students during interaction. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Mr.Tanushree Arora. |
